Physical Disability Discrimination
In an employment discrimination case against Stockton Unified School District which involved 10 years of litigation and a successful appeal before the Third District Court of Appeals, our firm obtained a seven-figure monetary award following the successful conclusion of two jury trials.
Construction Site Accident
After several years of litigation, we were able to obtain a $2 million settlement for our client who was injured in a construction site accident.
Retaliation & Wage and Break Violations
After our clients were retaliated against and wrongfully terminated, we were able to recover over $1 million for the terminated employees and others who had suffered wage and hour violations, including an inability to take meal and rest periods.
Wage & Hour Misclassification
In a unique resolution to an unpaid wage and breach of employment contract matter, we were able to negotiate a settlement with a total value of $475,000.00, and which included an agreement to allow our client to return to work.
Sexual Harassment
In a hard-fought case in which the Defendants maintained they owed our client nothing, we were able to recover almost $400,000.00 for a client who was sexually harassed over a several week period of time. We also were able to successfully hold the individuals behind the company accountable for the Judgment after the business shut down.
Overtime Class Action:
In an overtime class action case, we obtained class certification from the Third District Court of Appeal, and then received an order from San Joaquin County Superior Court for the Defendant to pay unpaid wages to our Plaintiff class members in the amount of almost $700,000.00.
Reasonable Accommodation Discrimination
Following a two-week trial in a reasonable accommodation employment case, our client was ordered reinstated, in addition to receiving lost wages, lost employment benefits, and emotional distress damages. The total monetary award was in excess of $400,000.00.
Off-The-Clock & Meal and Rest Period Class Action
In a class action case against a manufacturer, we recovered almost $500,000.00 for a small group of workers who were not paid for certain off-the-clock work and were not provided proper off duty meal and rest periods.
Retaliation for Requesting Pay for Travel Time & Mileage Reimbursement
We obtained a Judgment in excess of $500,000.00 for our client who was retaliated against and wrongfully terminated after he requested pay and mileage reimbursement for increased travel to a temporary jobsite. The employer had a strict policy of paying employees solely for time spent on the jobsite, and completely stopped communicating with our client after he asserted his rights under the Labor Code.
Retaliation for Filing a Complaint with the Labor Commissioner
After a several year fight against an employer who refused to take responsibility for its actions, we were able to obtain an agreed upon Judgment against the employer in the amount of $250,000.00.
Employment Contract
After 3 years of litigation and a week long trial, our Plaintiff client was awarded all of his requested lost wages, interest on the lost wages, and waiting time penalties in accordance with an employment contract with his former employer.
Unpaid Minimum Wage Class Action:
In an unpaid minimum wage class action against a local restaurant chain, our office was able to obtain a six-figure settlement to compensate the employees who received less than the minimum wage for all hours they worked.
Wage & Hour Class Action
In a complicated wage and hour case involving twelve different legal theories, our firm first successfully defeated Plaintiffs' attempts to obtain class and collective certification pursuant to both California and federal law. After 4 years of litigation and a 3 week trial, our Defendant client then won a complete victory as to every legal theory and was ordered to pay nothing.
Independent Contractor Misclassification
Our truck driver client was awarded almost $200,000.00 in damages after his employer misclassified him as an independent owner operator. The employer was found to have failed to pay our client all wages due, made unlawful deductions from his paycheck for business expenses such as gas and insurance, and failed to provide paid rest breaks.
In two other unrelated independent contractor misclassification cases, we were able to obtain six figure judgments for each of our truck driver clients alleging similar wage and hour claims.
Disability Retirement
Following an administrative hearing, a proceeding before the Superior Court, and an appeal to the Third District Court of Appeal, our client was awarded her CalPERS disability retirement benefits, and awarded over $200,000.00 in unpaid retirement benefits.
Business Contract Litigation
Our client came to us after a six-figure judgment had been mistakenly entered against the company. We were able to completely reverse the judgment and defend our client against the frivolous case. The entire case was eventually dismissed, and our client was not require to pay any money to the adverse.
Real Property Ownership Litigation
On the third day of trial, after several years of litigation, we were able to obtain a settlement which confirmed our client’s interest in the family’s San Francisco property valued in excess of $1 million. The adverse in the case had previously insisted that our client’s only option was to walk away from the property without any money. Also involved were unfounded claims of elder abuse and breach of contract.
Wrongful Termination Breach of Contract
In several breach of contract cases against a large grocery store chain, our Plaintiff clients were ordered reinstated to their former jobs and recovered all of their lost wages, lost employment benefits, and interest after being wrongfully terminated.
Professional License Defense
At the conclusion of an administrative law hearing in front of an administrative law judge, all of the allegations against our client were dismissed, and our client's professional license was reinstated with no restrictions.

Failure to Accommodate/Physical Disability Discrimination
We received a six figure arbitration award for our security guard client when his employer failed to engage in the interactive process and failed to accommodate his chronic back condition.

In a credit card collection case that went to trial, our Defendant client was ordered to pay nothing after our firm proved she had been the victim of identity theft.

In another credit card collection case, our Defendant client came to us after judgment had already been entered against him. We not only were able to successfully vacate and reverse the judgment, but the Judge ordered the entire case dismissed against our client who never had to pay any monies to the Plaintiff credit card company.
Business Collection Litigation
At the conclusion of a trial in a business collection case asserted against our Defendant client company, the Judge ordered our client to pay nothing to the adverse party.
Mental Disability Discrimination
At the end of a two-week trial, the jury determined the State of California had discriminated against and wrongfully terminated our client because she had a mental health condition.
Disability Discrimination – Termination While On Medical Leave
In an employment disability discrimination and wrongful termination case, we were able to negotiate a settlement with a total value in excess of $630,000.00, which included an agreement to return our client to work after being wrongfully terminated while on medical leave.
Retaliation for Disclosing Work Restrictions:
Within days of disclosing minor work restrictions, a transportation company fired our client without evaluating whether the restrictions affected our client’s ability to perform the job. After years of fighting and on the eve of trial, we were able to secure a settlement that represented more than five times his yearly salary.
Pregnancy Discrimination
We obtained a Judgment of approximately $250,000.00 for our client who was not allowed to return to work after taking maternity leave. The employer had encouraged our client to take a lengthy leave of absence, continuously suggested she take more and more time, and then secretly cancelled her health insurance while she was still on leave.
